A dry dusty track greeted riders for racing, this year the track followed the ‘old’ line, featuring a wooden wall ride to drop, rather than the switchbacks used last season when conditions were wet and slippery!
Mount Buller is always a good addition to the racing calendar.
Round 2 of the Australian National Series in Mount Buller has just wrapped up a good weekend or week of racing (depending if you raced the Vic DH Series there last weekend). This weekends’ race saw the succesful debut of Bryn Atkinson who finished 2ndA�and Jill KintnerA�3rd on their new Norco bikes. Full report and pictures to come, results below:
Phil Piazza brought it home in eleventh place, a solid result considering he has just come back from a head injury that has seen him spending time off the bike.
Who else? No surprises, at his first National race as an Elite rider, Troy took the win, early days but at this rate Troy is going to blow up overseas next year.
What a race! The top four positions were taken out by current or former World Champions and fifth place went to the reigning Australian National series, wow! Troy may have looked surprised but we weren't, first place at his first National race as an Elite, well done Troy.
