For round 3 of the Inside Line South Australian State series we were back at the ever faithful Fox Creek – we were last there for the National Enduro round. This race was dedicated to men’s health week which was a fitting show of support. We were fortunate enough to have some great photographers on the (wet) ground to bring you all some images from the day! Results can be found on the Inside Line website, enjoy:

The track conditions were trying after a large amount of rain.

Leogang World Cup – Finals

After a wet qualifying race day dawned and we were greeted with relatively dry conditions, due to the amount of moisture in the ground it meant it would still be wet for early morning practice and then racing after. We have put together some images of the action, check it out!

It was great to see Aussies doing so well over the weekend.

Tahnee Seagrave claimed second place after missing Fort William last week.

This jump was one of the best features on the track.

Aaron Gwin took the win by 3.1 seconds, with Loris Vergier taking second, his best result to date.

Troy Brosnan finished 3rd after taking the hot seat when he crossed the line.

There is a short break until the next world cup, what will this race hold?!

Leogang World Cup 4 – Day 1

Ah Leogang, one of the most picturesque tracks on the circuit, easy to see why!

We are back in Austria for the Leogang world cup, one of our favourite races on the calendar. We are Snapchatting the race – so make sure you follow us @downhill247. The mountains provide an idyllic background but more importantly mean there is some elevation to play with on the track. The track itself has some noticeably different sections, varying from hardpack bike path like parts to rooty, loamy, earthy sections. The weather for the track walk was dark and wet, with mud the dominating factor.

The organisers have carved the names of the previous winners and placed them along the side of the track including this touching tribute to Stevie Smith.

For practice the sun came out and the skies were blue, this meant the track started to dry up, it was still boggy in parts, especially for group B who practiced earlier in the day. It was Troy Brosnan who was fastest in timed practice by some 4 seconds, qualifying will be the first real test of speed.

Mic Hannah is having a solid season, sitting 7th in the overall and with a strong record at Leogang.

Finn Illes is currently leading the juniors category, hotly contested as always.

Josh Bryceland was riding flats and having great fun doing so, a few riders are doing so this race.

We are all hoping Connor Fearon can go one position better than last year!

Tracey Hannah has been riding well this year and looks good here again in Leogang.

2016 Inside Line Rd 2 Eagle – User Contribution

Here at Downhill247 we love when the under dog, the black-horse, whatever you want to call it gets up for the win! We also love supporting up and coming photographers, we have seen photographers go from local races and reporting here to world cups and becoming team photographers!

2016 Inside Line Rd 2 – Eagle

Round 2 of the SA state series at Eagle MTB park, what was expected to be a wet race turned out to be a pretty sweet day if you like the cold. The rain over the previous days left the dirt prime for racing, the course was fast and rocky as ever, the track configuration was the ridge line that was seen last year going down into some fast drops before the bridge.

Callum Morrison Qualified fastest after his win in Mt Gambier but was not able to put it together on this occasion for the win. Conor Clancy laid down a heater of a run to take the win over Cody Barker who took his best result ever in 2nd and Simon ‘Buzz’ Buzacott rode his Enduro rig to 3rd pace.

If you have seen the latest edit from Connor Fearon and Steel City Media then what you are looking at is the bike Connor rode for most of it. This being the Kona Process 167, a bike perfect for his home town of Adelaide where you often don’t need a full blown downhill bike. We were lucky enough to grab some pictures before Connor departed for the next world cup in Scotland. We have added some simple descriptions to the pictures, enjoy.

As you would expect from the name the bike features 167mm rear wheel travel. The swingarm you see here is carbon!
