Australian National Championships – Eagle Mountain Bike Park – Saturday Seeding

The rest of the field has been chasing Troy the whole National Series, no different today, 2.66 seconds faster in seeding.

Another hot day at Eagle Mountain Bike ParkAfor today’s practice and seeding. The heat was affecting everyoneAbut at least the conditions were the same for all the riders. A quick injury update; Ben Cory seperated his shoulder yesterday and can’t race, Rhys Atkinson crashed onto his arm in practice. Rhys was stiff and sore but as he said “tomorrow is the one that counts”, no doubt rest and ice will be applied for the next 24 hours. Numerous other riders crashed due to the heat, fatigue and the track deteriorating.

Australian National Championships – Eagle Mountain Bike Park – Friday Practice

Style for miles! Dave McMillan is such a good rider to watch. Today he struggled after changing suspension set up, he will get up to speed no doubt.

Already after a few days of practice the track has started to blow out with dust and ruts forming all the way down. Round 3 Australian National Series – Mount Stromlo

Three from three! Troy Brosnan has kept his momentum from last year's World Cup and Champioships' with the Australian National Series. Photo: Sean Anderson.

Mount Stromlo is one of Australia’s most well known tracks, both here and internationally. It played host toAa World Cup inA2008, won by Greg Minnaar and the World Championships’ in 2009 won by Steve Peat. Not to mention numerous other National Series races and the National Championships’. Widely regarded as a physically intensive track, Minnaar and Peats’ win seemed to prove this theory. If there was going to be a race this year that would test Troy Brosnan’s dominance in Elite Men, Mount Stromlo would be it. Favourite in Under 19 Men must have been a rider such as Joey Vejvoda or Dean Lucas, riders who both suit the pedally track.

Round 2 Australian National Series – Mt. Buller Finals

The number 1 plate for a reason, a successful weekend for Monster Specialized, both riders' results must make them hungrier for the next round though... Photo: Sean Anderson

A dry dusty track greeted riders for racing, this year the track followed the ‘old’ line, featuring a wooden wall ride to drop, rather than the switchbacks used last season when conditions were wet and slippery!
