The Waiting Game…

That's not a downhill bike Marcus Fairbanks is riding in this photo...

With the next World Cup not until June there is a large gap between World Cup races. There are still some big events before then, namely the traditional international season opener, Sea Otter, from the 19th-22nd of April. However, for many riders they tailored their training programs to accomodate for Pietermaritzburgs’ demanding pedally sections. Now that the riders can move back to a more ‘normal’ training program. This is what the Aussies have been up to:

Aussie riders are scattered all over the globe, Sam Hill and Troy Brosnan are in Perth and Adelaide respectively. Sam spending time with his pregnant partner and Troy has been filming with Sean Anderson for his next film ‘Above The Noise’. Talking about Adelaide, Connor Fearon has been out cross training on hisAmoto. Team mate from Perth Mitch Delfs is off in Canada riding, snow boarding and just generally living the life. Mitch has been sending some people onAthe internet into over drive with a photo ofAhis ‘carbon’ Kona downhill bike… Tracey Hannah is still training hard, last time we heard she was hard in the gym. Bryn Atkinson is back in the States with partner (and now fiancee) Jill Kintner. Bryn is on the comeback from his big injury last year, he is doing some more racing in the USA to help his come back, lets hope he continue to improve as the year goes on. Jared Graves is still in OZ and gearing up to do a state round (his first since 2006?!). Josh Button didn’t race the first World Cup, instead resting his knee before Val di Sole, a race where Josh was on a screamer last year but suffered a flat before the bottom of the course. Sea Otter will be the next test of where everyone is at, stay tuned for that.

Variety is the spice of life, here Connor Fearon mixes up his training by catching some air on his moto.
