Pick of the Pics – Pietermaritzburg

Marc Beaumont finished in a solid eighteenth place, the next round in Val di Sole is where Marc has previously won a World Cup, so look out for a strong result there.

We thought we would finish off our coverage from the first World Cup of the year with a few pics for you to enjoy!

The name Aurelien Giordanengo may not spring to mind immediately but Aurelin took last year off after a big injury, with thirteenth place in Pietermaritzburg it looks like he is back on top of his game.
Oliver Burton is now team mates with American Duncan Riffle on the Dirt/Norco team.
With the big pedalling section in the middle of the track riders tried to rest where they could, some more than others!
Felix Beckeman keeping it low and styled.
We found the whole weekend interesting, obviously not everyone did, sleeping on the job!
Running the stars and stripes is Logan Binggeli, not as well known outside of the USA, Logan is one of their fastest riders and a nice guy to boot! 63rd was not the result he was hoping for though.

That wraps up our picture coverage from South Africa, we goAback to Europe in a few months for World Cup 2.
