Round 5 of the South Australian State Series was another wet race, this time on private property at Mount Torrens. A few changes to the track kept riders on their toes but it was mainly the weather that would slow competitors down. Mount Torrens generally suits riders who are good pedallers, this year was no different, the wet and boggy track meaning those with power would be at an advantage.
For the Under 19 Menas class Angus Maddern put his pedalling skills that he perfected in Whistler, on A-line for the Air DH race, to good use and took the victory. In Elite Men Steve Gebert grabbed his 1st Elite victory by under half a second over Connor Fearon. Elite Women saw Molly Payne again grab the victory ahead of property owner Carol Moore.
