The fourth round of the Vic State Series was held in Mount Buller this weekend, one week before the National Round is due to be held there. The infamous ‘International’ race track combinesAa series of rock gardens, tight switchbacks, corners and hi speed sections to form a track favoured by racers as one of the best races on the calendar. Racing was tight with a stacked field, no doubt some riders choosing to get some practice in before next weeks’ Nationals, results as follows:
Elite Men:
1. Rhys Atkinson 3.24.86
2. Connor Fearon 3.25.581 + 0.73
3. Tim Eaton 3.26.57 + 1.72
4. Liam Panozzo 3.27.76 + 2.91
5. Ricky Boyer 3.27.93 + 3.07
Under 19 Men:
1. Dean Lucas 3.27.05
2. Tom Crimmins 3.31.35 + 4.30
3. Jack Moir 3.32.91 + 5.86
4. Luke Ellison 3.35.19 + 8.14
5. Nicholas Bohle 3.37.20 + 10.15
We had a quick chat with Connor Fearon about his run, this is what he had to sayA”it was pretty good, had a few mistakes but nothing major, everyone has them.” It will be interesting to see the difference in times compared with next weekends National Round.
