Cairns - Day 2: Practice -

We finally got to see riders on track today.

Day 2 here in Cairns and the first day of practice, the riders were all chomping at the bit! The conditions were dry and dusty, a thick layer of dirt was covering everything by the time practice was finished. It was hard to pick the fastest rider as everyone was pushing hard, there a few crashes nothing too major – unfortunately junior French rider Sylvain Cougoureux took a hard crash in the rock garden and it looked like he sustained a broken wrist.

Tracey Hannah was riding like a woman possessed!

Aaron Gwin having a good long hard look at the rock garden, he showed some good speed on other sections of the track.

Same with Greg Minnaar, in fact plenty of riders are showing speed!
