La Bresse is a slighlty old school track, with the track being located on a wide open hill with not a huge amount of line choice but still, from the riders perspective, a fun track. Aaron Gwin needed only to finish the race 8th or better to take the overall series win.AAs the finals started Mother Nature was up to her old tricks, with rain affecting riders runs. In the end itAlooked like those who qualified 20th – 40th suffered the most. In the end Greg Minnaar took the victory (Greg andAAaron have won every World CupAthis year), Gee second and Aaron claimed third wrapping up the title with one race to spare. This is the first time a rider from the United States has won the overall World Cup title and the last time someone wrapped up the series with a race to spare was 2000. The Australian Contingent struggled with Mic Hannah being the best placed Aussie in 17th.
